When Luxe Pricing was founded in 2015, our goal was to create a company that stood apart. A family-owned business in an industry dominated by large conglomerates, and as a software company prioritizing human approach to service, we have always aimed to differentiate ourselves from the competition.The re-launch of our blog, will continue to showcase this authenticity that defines Luxe Pricing.

From our founding, at the core of Luxe Pricing showing up as a "different kind of company" has been a commitment to “automate the best practices of revenue management in artful products that are a pleasure to use.”



This commitment is at the heart of our purpose and will serve as the guiding principle for this blog. Each month, we’ll connect around topics that align with this core belief. Many of our posts will focus on what makes us experts in "best practices of revenue management", while others will explore how we automate these practices. Additionally, some posts will highlight our core values around what makes a product truly "artful" and "simple"

To start our journey together, today I’d like to dive into why Luxe Pricing was founded. We must take a quick side trip to aviation to understand the whole vision.

Patrick, an engineer by trade and aviation enthusiast by passion, ended up overseeing revenue management at Caesars Entertainment after a diverse career. There, he identified what worked—and what didn’t quickly. A major pain point was the lack of automation in pricing decisions. Revenue managers were manually adjusting prices through feedback control, which worked but was inefficient. With his engineering background and aviation experience, Patrick saw that there was a better way.

To understand the whole vision, we must take a quick side trip to aviation. You see, Patrick knew that we have remarkable pilots who can land a plane with no automation AND yet we have autopilot systems that aid them -- essentially using the same feedback control they were doing manually to land the plane. In his imagination, the booking curve of revenue management was no different than the glideslope of an airplane landing.

Out of this vision, Luxe Pricing was born. We’ve iterated over the years, but we’ve stayed true to our purpose. This blog will also bring to life this purpose as we dive into elements of it each month. The journey has just begun, and we are excited for what’s to come.
